LS swaps often require the use of aftermarket or modified oil pans. Modified or aftermarket pans do not always come with a provision for an oil filter.  The Remote Oil Filter Adapter creates a connection point that allows for the installation of a remote oil filter housing.  Machined from 6061 Aluminum with ¾” NPT threads milled 90 degrees to the engine block, the adapter accepts a wide range of fittings commonly found at hardware, hydraulic, or performance shops. 

 
While thread sealant should not be required, Loctite 545 is recommended. The adapter will come with the necessary hardware and o-rings for installation onto the engine block.
